About Bishop's dining room

Founded by local jeweller Robert Croydon of Winsor Bishop on London Street, Bishop's is tucked away just around the corner down St Andrew's Hill in the beautiful, historic lanes of Norwich. Previously Merchants House and FizzBuzz, the restaurant has been re-established specifically to offer discerning locals a fine-dining experience in an intimate and informal environment.

With specialities from locally sourced products and attention to detail, meaning even the bread rolls are hand-made and freshly baked each day, Bishop's is likely to become a favourite for serious 'foodies' and casual diners alike.

Originally from Lake Como, Italy, Alex Tranquillo joins Bishop's as Restaurant Manager in July 2009. We are pleased to welcome him to the Bishop's team as his love of food and passion for catering will ensure that you receive a full customer experience from the moment you walk in to the minute you leave.
